Yeah, don't group with mo/w. But there are solo warriors, ranger trappers and necro builds as well.

Solution? Just ask ANET to make henchmen at Temple of Ages all level 20 instead of current lvl 15. So any group can have their own monks or henchmen to play UW or FoW with.

I play Mo/W and I have 551 hp there ar some good Mo/W out there don't put us all down.Maybe the price on armor should come down so you don't have to farm LH to to buy it.

dont take mo/w , i dont see any reason why a monk should be mo/w

if he is a regular mo/w probably he isnt good since mo/w dont have any energy menagement skill(and dont say me bonneti is : who want be near a bladed axe in uw?).

My very first character, and my main girl is a monk. I've never done the 55thing just because it's not my plate of choice. I'd have to disagree with your reasoning on why there's no 'good' monks as you say.

Once upon a time I used to only play with other people. But I quickly got sick and tired of the jerks in this game blaming everything on me. No, I'm not perfect, however I am the first one members in my guild come running to when they need a monk. So I'm not that bad. I've pretty much sworn off pick up groups when I'm on my monk. Now I only play with friends and guildies. Every now and then we'll feel charitable and go take some poor souls through Thunderhead or something. But it's not often, as we get easily disgusted by the typical name calling immaturity that goes on.

There's something I'd like to know though. "Good" monks are not the only thing it's hard to find. How about a "good" tank? One that knows the art of holding aggro and what not. I'm lucky enough to know a handful of good tanks, but this game has just as much a lack of good tanks as it does good healers. What's the reason for that? Is there some warrior build of doom out there? Or is it the player behind the toon?

Lol. I have a warrior and don't believe in "tanking" I believe in crowd control and aggro techniques, not book holding while everything smacks the warrior.

But some groups like that (sigh). I want to unlock more skills on my warrior secondaries (emphasis on S, I unlocked one seconday already) so I have to deal with stupidity like book holding and groups that take quests before clearing.

Yes, we figured out at the behemoths when one of the warriors died and clicked on everyone to see their locations. He said to the rest fo the group: Where is "(Korean Name)" and then said or typed, rather "She is farming smite crawlers". And then I replied "What a greedy person".

I dunno, I think it would be pretty funny if A-Net added a special monster-only skill that ALWAYS does exactly **55** damage NO MATTER WHAT to ALL of the UW monsters. That way I could laugh at all the invincimonkers. Mostly out of jealousy and spite, of course.

LifeInfusion: I see what you mean. The game of Guild wars has turned into a paradise for people who's only urge is to show and brag about their items, armors and money, completly unaware of that the game at start was developed for entertaining people.

I don't care much about those things myself. I play the times I feel like it, not to farm for a better looking, but hardly stronger, armor. I play for fun, or just to spend time and have a chat with my guildmates. For me it's just a matter of having a good time and spend some time with new people, the levels, items and money comes in second hand.

But that's just me :P

PUG with monk problems isn't new. Ever since the game's release, we've had complaints of bad attitudes from some monks who either abandon their teams or demand a hefty price for their service.

People also have very bad misconception about Korean/Chinese farmers as if all solo farmers are koreans/chinese. The fact is all nationalities do solo farming and those two tend to stand out because of unique language they use on the trade channel. Had their country's official language being English like Malaysia or India, there wouldn't be so much backlash against them. I just hate to see people cannot get into groups because of their asian names and just hope this kind of racism/negative stereotype doesn't continue.

Ha ha! Life Infusion, I kind of think we'd actually get along great in game. My use of the word "tanking" was not as taken. I hate that book, gear, whatever item of the moment 'trick'. I have a harder time keeping that one person up through mass aggro than doing what I'd call the 'normal' way.

lol Stormlord. All though it would greately damppen my three man UW team, it would be kind of funny.

I do want to say that I in no way ment to defend what apparently a lot of 55monks are doing. Claiming to be something you're not, and using people like that is wrong. No ifs, ands, or buts about it.

Op: O c'mon... If you came that far you can't blame that monk if he stays alive when you guys die. He probably had his deal in taking out creatures with his build so don't complain. Consider 55 builds as warriors, not as healers. You don't blame the warrior when he's the only one left alive without res spell, do you?

in mission kick button
group votes.
any person in the group can activate it.
at least 51% of the group must agree

it sounds like a nice idea doesnt it?

I hear ya, brother. I miss like hell those good old golden days when people played PvP for fun. When there was no running/powerleveling services and people formed groups to get from one location to another or to explore.

It was after many have discovered the game and the in-depth articels and manuals have been written that things got so screwed up. I can't get over how right the author of that article is.

Guild Wars is not what it has been before. I just hope that players will regain passion for PvE once chaper 2 is out.

Well, he should have brought the signet, at least. I would blame him

Have you ever considered that maybe farming is fun to some people? Maybe their idea of a good day on GW is farming the crap outta the UW and coming out rich? Maybe they do this for fun and hate people who don't because they just slack around and do nothing but take percentages of their drops. There is always two sides to the story....

Personally i'd like Anet to put health numbers in the party bar (and have that be able to be turned on and off).

This way everyone could see peoples health before going in, and also would be pretty handy for monks like myself so that over healing don't happen as much.

Of course the monk could just switch armor once in UW in which case i'd want armor to be kept at storage rather than on characters, as you never really have to change mid mission.

Pretty good suggestion, indeed.
Would be great with some kind of "Inspect"-function, like the one in WoW, where you can check what health, energy, armor and runes the players have got.

I fail to understand why would you buy a game and don't want people to play it.
If it was named Farmertycoon i could maybe understand..

So for you it is logical to join a party, not paying 1k to enter FoW or UW, go farm alone away from the group.. and still manage to hate them for having their percentage of items? If you want your items why don't you just go inside by yourself?

+5 energy wand for 3 carvings outside nolani

ive got some good items but il always bring this on my necro gold or blue or whatever its the best. also sometimes the stats on this wand changes, like sometimes itll be dmg-10% and other times critical hit- 20%. anyone know if the wands dmg-10% mean the damage you do or the damage your taking?
